Parallax Hack Day: July 2015
Parallax are hosting their 15th Hack Day!
A Hack Day is an event in which programmers, graphic designers, interface designers and account/project and and marketing managers, collaborate intensively on lots of different projects; from hardware and software development to more personal improvement projects like learning new programming languages and more SEO.
To allow our creative juices to flow we are shutting down our office for just over 24 hours, from this evening until tomorrow evening, to provide teams with uninterrupted focus. This freedom from daily work responsibilities fosters ingenuity and innovative thinking.
Hack days are a proud tradition in the digital sector, where innovation is nothing short of a company’s lifeblood. Many industry tech giants—including Facebook, Netflix , and LinkedIn -hold hack days regularly throughout the year with a goal of kick-starting collaborative brainstorms that often don’t fit into the regular course of business.
What’s the business case for a Hack Day?
These ideas and ‘hacks’ can be used to create meaningful business results and can inspire relevant solutions for new projects.
