CitiPark Game Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of the new car game we developed for CitiPark!
‘Braking Badly’ aims to raise awareness of braking speeds in different environments.

The interactive online game begins after an animated journey of fun facts about safe driving across the globe. Once you reach the end of the road, you can enter your name and play the game.

As a player behind the wheel, you’ll find yourself driving at high speeds, manoeuvring through traffic, passing slower moving vehicles and attempting not to brake badly! The faster and further you go, the more driving conditions you’ll go through. Your main challenge is to dodge cars, RV’s and even a relatively topical character, through sun, rain and darkness.

Depending on when and where you crash, ‘Braking Badly’ provides top driving tips and facts about that particular condition and ranks you against other players. If you’re the competitive type, make sure to share your scores on social media and see where your friends rank against you.

“One of the best parts about building ‘Braking Badly’ was having to learn newer technologies like WebGL. Another interesting aspect was creating 3D models and being able to live-edit the shaders directly in the browser” says Gareth, our digital designer who worked on the project, “My favourite feature in the game is when the car slides across the wet road in the rain – one of the easier things to animate, weirdly.”

Make sure to keep an eye out for cameo appearances and tell CitiPark who you think is heading towards you in oncoming traffic!
