Parallax Launch New Interactive Infographic For TCCP
Another week, another launch here at Parallax. This week we’re proud to announce the launch of a new piece of interactive content for our friends over at Town Centre Car Parks.
Presenting ‘Dangerous Roads of the World’, this particular interactive infographic showcases some of the most exciting and intimidating driving routes from across the world. With over a million people dying each year in road-related incidents, driving is dangerous everywhere from Europe to South America. Industry experts believe that by the year 2030, there will be up 3.6 million deaths a year on roads globally.
The ‘Dangerous Roads of the World’ infographic takes users on a journey through 14 of the scariest routes using Google Street View technology. We used Google’s Javascript API v3 to embed high quality views inside each page, providing a 360° panoramic view of each road. Then integrating base maps, we were able to plot each of the coordinates for user reference presenting a unique experience allowing users to explore each area without actually being there.
As well as that, we added various facts about the roads to keep it engaging including their history, altitude, and the amount of hairpin turns amongst others.
