Parallax Launch '25 Years Of The Internet' Interactive Infographic
Here at Parallax, we love creating interactive content for clients and our latest release is one of our favourites yet.
We’ve been busy developing an interactive piece for Onyx Group titled ‘25 Years Of The Internet’.
The infographic takes users on a journey through some of the highlights of the world wide web since its original conception by Tim Berners-Lee back in 1989. Featuring stories such as the first ever item sold on eBay, to the x-rated White House website mix up, it shows some of the best developments and memories throughout the history of the internet.
The user is able to scroll from left to right with statistics and illustrations popping up along the way. Taking advantage of Google Chrome’s capabilities, the infographic also features a handy javascript physics engine that allows users to move objects and bubbles as a little Easter Egg. This lets visitors to the page pull objects into each other and throw items around naturally.
To visit the infographic head over here and give it a go. We’d love to know what you think.
The piece has also been nominated for an Awwward, which we’re also incredibly excited about. Why not head over there and give it a vote too.
