<picture> element now supported (behind a flag) in Chrome Canary 37

The Responsive Images Community Group announced this week that the native element is now supported in Google Chrome Canary Version 37.

Open Canary and type into your address bar: chrome://flags

You’ll then need to find ‘Enable experimental Web Platform features. Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android’ and make sure it’s enabled.

Note: you’ll need to reload the page to test it as the update-on-resize feature hasn’t been implemented just yet.

Update: We’ve changed our demo to use src instead of srcset on the <img /> tag. Thanks to Mat Marquis @wilto of Filament Group, one of the authors of the fantastic PictureFill polyfill, for pointing that out.
