Parallax Launches New Website for Thompson Brand Partners
Parallax underwent a transformation in the summer, rebranding from Snapshot Media to Parallax with the help of Thompson Brand Partners, who created a stunning set of visuals and a new brand concept.
Thompson Brand Partners are one of the region’s leading brand specialists, with clients including Thomas Cook, Harrogate Spring Water and the Royal Armouries in Leeds. They also did the branding for Leeds and Partners, worked on the Olympics for London 2012 and just launched the new identity for Confused.com.
Their company needed a new website that showcases their work to potential clients, demonstrating their impressive list of previous work and how they continue to push the boundaries in digital. As a fellow Leeds digital agency and with an already excellent relationship, TBP chose Parallax to build their new website.
Thompson Brand Partners designed their website, focusing on their innovative designs and branding ideas as well as recent blog posts.
Here at Parallax, we built the website into our own content management system Expose, whilst also making it responsive to allow for the best visual response depending on the device it is being viewed on. The homepage and project pages are fully customisable, with an editable mosaic that delivers content through text, image, animation and video to show off TBP’s latest projects and posts.
GIF upload support was also built into Expose, which allows TBP to use simple & effective animations throughout their website. As they also create a lot of videos, a simple HTML5 video tool was also incorporated allowing easy uploads within the CMS.
Thompson Brand Partners have a high attention to detail which made it essential that the website supported retina imagery. This meant that when images are viewed on a retina-enabled device, such as an iPhone, iPad or retina MacBook Pro, the high resolution detail of each image is pixel perfect.
The blog was previously hosted offsite using Typepad. We moved this over to their new website, creating a visually engaging space which matches the content which they keep regularly updated.
