Parallax Launches Website For Little Kelham Development

Parallax are proud to announce the launch of another new website, this time for Little Kelham. Little Kelham is a property development at Kelham Island in Sheffield built by Citu, an up and coming development group. Their previous project, Greenhouse in Leeds, was an eco friendly block of residential flats and offices which won numerous awards.

The Little Kelham development project has been built using sustainable materials and to low-carbon use specifications. With 150 one to four bedroom apartments, the project also brings a variety of creative spaces, galleries, shops and cafés to Sheffield.

The website visuals and branding have been designed by Thompson Brand Partners, one of the UK’s leading branding agencies, and represents the Little Kelham character perfectly, with the use of soft pastel colours and lots of Instagram images adding to the modern, welcoming feel of the website. The website has been built using Expose so that it’s easy to edit and to keep up-to-date with all the latest news from the development.

In addition, the website includes a fully interactive master plan of the development. It’s one of the most comprehensive site-plans around and shows off the Little Kelham development in detail. The interactive site plan was built using SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) rather than Flash. This meant we could make the site plan cross-browser compatible.

Touchscreen technology

We’re also in the process of building an interactive touchscreen app that will be installed on-site at Little Kelham on two 42 inch touchscreen monitors that will be fitted in their on-site Bakery. This app will allow people to explore floor plans and give potential inhabitants information about the building, along with the benefits and advantages of choosing to live there. There’s also a demo of the smart features in the building, allowing you to switch the lights on and off from your smart phone and check your energy usage.

Andy Fitch, Parallax Director and Lead Developer of the Little Kelham project said, “Our job was to build an engaging website, which was easy to use and focused on bringing some excellent branding and design creative by Thompson Brand Partners to life. It was essential that our work truly reflected the excellent work on the development over at Kelham Island.

“We produced an interactive site map to allow potential customers to explore the development and find their ideal home. We also created a commercial version of the site map to showcase Little Kelham’s business opportunities at Eagle Works, the Bakery, the Café and its other commercial plots. We’re really excited to see this website go live and we’d like to thank Fraser, Aisling and her team for being such a great client to work with.”

We’re looking forward to working with Citu on the exciting future developments they have planned. Head over to the Little Kelham website and take a look.
