The Alchemy of Wisdom

When long-standing client Sheikha Intisar Salem Al Sabah told us she was producing a book about the inspirational people of her native country Kuwait, we were definitely looking forward to seeing the finished publication in all its glory. When she asked us to design and build a website in English and Arabic to promote her work we were honoured and excited by the challenge.

The Alchemy of Wisdom, which was launched on 23 May by Lulua Publishing, is a photographic exploration of what Intisar calls ‘the pearls of Kuwait; individuals that, by example, set standards that are aspirational.’

British photographer Cristian Barnett’s beautiful images tell a visual story about each person featured which are accompanied by the inspirational words that Intisar draws from each one. The result is a motivational and uplifting body of work that honours the Kuwaiti people as people that ‘love life and their country.’

The website features a foreword by Intisar Salem Al Sabah, preview pages from the book itself, photographs from the book’s glittering launch in Kuwait and special ‘behind the scenes’ images from Cristian’s photoshoots.
